Therefore, replacing the old and worn out floors of a space is very important. But this task is not very easy. First of all, you will have to choose the right type of floorings for the space. There are many options available in the market, like hardwood, carpet and laminated floorings. All of these options have their own pros and cons, that you should be taken into consideration.
Hardwood flooring is one of the most popular options in this field. It looks wonderful and provides certain warmth to the place. They are very comfortable to walk on as wood is quite flexible. But it is also very difficult to maintain as any sharp object can leave a scratch on them. They are also sensitive towards weather and may get extremely cold during winters.
Carpeting is the most widely used method of flooring. Considering the labor required, carpeting is the easiest way to replace floors of a room. There is no need to tear out the older floor to lay a new carpet as it can be done on the existing floors. It is the quickest way to get rid of the problem of ugly floors. But they are not suitable for homes with children since it gets stained easily. Moreover, they are very hard to wash and clean.
One of the most durable and easy to manage floorings; is lamination. Laminated floors are made of tiles of synthetic material but their look and feel is quite similar to wooden or stone floors. This is a cheaper and long lasting option and is perfect for kitchen and lobby. They are easy to clean and maintain as they aren't stained or scratched that easily.
Replacing the floors of an entire house cannot only be time consuming, but expensive too. So, the best option is to take one part of the house at one time and complete its flooring.
